Welcome to Curriculum Support and Assessment (CSAU)!

CSAU leads the county transition to the California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), of which the SMARTER Balanced interim assessments, summative assessments and the Digital Library, are a part. CSAU assists educators in interpreting and using assessment results, and in implementing balanced assessment systems.

CSAU provides applied research and program evaluation studies through technical capabilities to develop and implement high quality research and evaluation projects, including evaluation study design, development of survey and assessment tools, data collection and management, statistical analysis, and reporting and disseminating results. The CSAU also provides coordination of the California Gold Ribbon Schools program and serves as liaison to districts and parents for information on Gifted and Talented Education (GATE).
