Delivering Quality Career Preparation

The LA County Regional Occupational Program-Career Technical Education (ROP-CTE) provides courses that integrate technical training and academics to help students develop workplace and career management skills. LACOROP is part of a new schooling philosophy that balances academics with real-world problem-solving and relevance to modern industries. Previous generations used to refer to programs like LACOROP as vocational education.

LACOROP operates the largest program of its kind in the state providing courses in a range of industries to more than 38,000 students in 23 school district across the county. More than 35% of the classes meet admission requirements for the UC and CSU systems. It is continually working to enhance industry partnerships and ensure high-quality curriculum and instruction. Its vision is to help students succeed and to assist in the economic development of their communities.
