The 2020-2021 Los Angeles County Poetry Out Loud competition will be virtual this year. In this webinar training, schools and non-school organizations are invited to learn about Poetry Out Loud, how to host a competition, and learn the dates and details of this year's competition.
Poetry Out Loud is a national poetry high school recitation competition supported by the National Endowment of the Arts. The California Arts Council and the Los Angeles Department of Arts and Culture support the LA County Poetry Out Loud competition.
The Los Angeles County Poetry Out Loud competition is open to all high school students participating in a local Poetry Out Loud competition at their school or non-school organization (public library, non-profit arts organization, etc).
This webinar training is intended for school and non-school organizations that wish to host a Poetry Out Loud competition and be eligible for the county competition.
