LACOE's Special Education unit provides technical support and professional development to school staff who serve students with disabilities.

We promote inclusion and believe that all children and youth with disabilities can be educated in the general education environment alongside nondisabled peers.

All students with and without disabilities can engage in learning and benefit from meaningful instruction, have friends and be full members of their school communities.

Understanding & Addressing Student Behavior

October 14 & 15 — 2 to 4:30 pm (2-day training)

Explicit Instruction Workshop

October 26 & 27 and November 2 & 3 — 1 to 3:30 pm  (10-hour training over 4 sessions)

Workshop limited to 60 participants; designed for teacher leaders and district coaches who want to improve and maintain the instructional delivery skills of their teaching staff for both remote and in-person instruction.
