Migrant Education Student ScholarshipsMigrant Education Student Scholarships
The program involves community engagement and parent support to raise funds for scholarships. Donations to Friends of LACOE provided 14 student scholarships in 2016-17. In 2017, 43 official and 17 junior teams participated in the L.A. County Academic Decathlon, a rigorous two-day scholastic competition that tests the knowledge and skills of high school teams. The David & Lucile Packard Foundation supports the work of LACOE’s Expanded Learning Technical Assistance Unit to build up staff expertise of summer programs through its workshops.
