Partnership for 21st Century Skills for California

On March 11, 2013, California joined the Partnership for 21st Century Skills (P21) network of states with a commitment to teach every student real-world skills to meet the needs of a competitive global economy and prepare all students for college, career and civic life. This webcast will introduce you to the background, rationale, and goals of the P21 California initiative and offer resources to intentionally build the 4 Cs – critical thinking and problem solving, communication, collaboration, and creativity and innovation into and across all content areas. It will feature Dr. Steven Paine, the President of P21 who will provide an overview of the P21 Initiative, David Militzer, the 21st Century Education Programs Consultant from the California Department of Education with tips and ideas for utilizing P21 in current educational initiatives, and administrators and students from Savanna High School, a P21 Exemplary School in the Anaheim Union High School District.
