BTSA Special Education Program

The LACOE SPED Clear Program is a state-approved Induction Program that can meet the needs of Special Education Teachers in areas of Students with Mild/Moderate Disabilities as well as Students with Moderate/Severe Disabilities, and other Education Specialist Authorizations.

The program combines coursework in a face-to-face classroom setting with highly qualified experts in the field of Special Education, along with an assigned support provider who is a credentialed and experienced Education Specialists. This program is designed for Education Specialists who are presently employed in a Special Education teaching assignment and hold a Preliminary or Level I Credential.  

If you need the Added Authorization in Autism, it is possible to build those components into your course of study with the LACOE SPED Clear Program as well.

The program is designed as a compact one-year program, the cost of which is competitive with and mostly like less than other comparable Special Education Clear Credential programs.
