District Intern Program
The LACOE IMPACT Education Specialist Intern Credential Program is a partner with the San Joaquin County Office of Education.

IMPACT is a CTC approved program to earn a Preliminary Education Specialist Teaching Credential in either the Mild/Moderate or Moderate/Severe specialty areas. All participants must already have either a clear single subject or multiple subjects California teaching credential.

Interns are placed in a cohort with others interns within the greater Los Angeles area. Intern classes are usually scheduled for Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM. Program Instructors provide classroom instruction for each course offering provided through the IMPACT Program.

Upon successful completion of the three-semester Education Specialist IMPACT program, interns are awarded a Preliminary Education Specialist Instruction Teaching Credential. Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) content is included in the IMPACT intern program.

Intern Information Meetings have been scheduled for April 2, May 5, and June 2, 2014. Check Edjoin.org to register or go here to register: http://goo.gl/GFakmy
