Lack of attendance at school is a complex problem that involves the student, his or her family, and the community. Truancy and Chronic absenteeism result in daytime crime and poor student performance, which negatively affect academic preparation and the quality of life of the community as a whole. School attendance is a critical piece in ensuring student success that must not be overlooked.
