Site Help

Thank you for visiting the LACOE.edu website. In October 2023, the Los Angeles County Office of Education launched this new website to better meet the needs of the community we serve. To help you navigate the website, the following questions have been developed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Our content has been reorganized by the types of services we provide and the primary audiences that we serve. In the Services tab, you’ll find content arranged by the following audiences: districts, educators, and students/families. If you want to explore the LACOE services available to different audiences, this is a good place to start.

We have also compiled most of the LACOE programs and units in the Programs tab; if you know the name of the program you are looking for, a full listing is available on the Programs landing page.

And finally, if you are looking for a particular department or division at LACOE, those can be identified on the Departments & Organizational Chart page.

We use Google Search for our website. Please be patient as Google crawls our new website for content. If you need assistance finding a page, please click here to contact us.

Once the site has been fully crawled, you may use the search function located at the top right corner of the website. Type in words or phrases that describe what you are looking for and the search function will identify options available to you.

Use the Search function located in on the top right corner of the web page.  LACOE uses Google Search on our website and new content will appear in the search results once it has been crawled by Google.  This process may take a few days on a new website.

If you click on a link from a document or web page and receive a 404 page error, there may be a few possible causes:

  • The page doesn't exist or the link was incorrect.
  • The page was linked to the pre-redesign website (known as classic.lacoe.edu) and it has not been migrated to the new site or determined not to be needed for the new site..  As of December 12, 2023, the classic.lacoe.edu website is no longer available.
  • Thank you for your patience as we continue to migrate all necessary content to our newly redesigned website.

You can use the search bar at the top of the page. If you still can't locate it, reach out to us through the form on the Contact Us page

Our website has been redesigned with our diverse site visitors in mind. We’ve worked to thematically group content and clean up materials to display both required notices and content as well as updated, timely information. Very old or outdated content that is not relevant to a public audience was not migrated onto the new site. We appreciate your patience as the site content continues to grow. If you are looking for content specifically targeted for LACOE Employees, check the Employee Intranet. If you need assistance, please use the Contact Us form to reach out to our team.

The classic website was deactivated on December 12, 2023, and content on that site is no longer accessible. If you are looking for specific content, please reach out to the appropriate department for information.

The "Jobs" website login is completely separate from the lacoe.edu login.  If you are applying for a position from a link from Personnel Commission to Government Jobs which is powered by NeoGov, you need to create your own login on that site and maintain your application on that site as we do not host the Jobs website at LACOE (the design of the site looks the same to provide seamless integration, but the two sites are not the same).
