Several L.A. County schools have stood out as finalists and Honor Roll recipients.

Several schools in Los Angeles County have garnered recognition as finalists and Honor Roll recipients in the prestigious 2024 America's Best Schools Awards, presented by the National Center for Urban School Transformation (NCUST).

The America's Best Schools Award program, organized by NCUST, aims to identify and celebrate schools that demonstrate indicators of both educational equity and excellence. It highlights elementary, middle, and high schools, as well as dual-language and alternative schools, where every demographic group served achieves impressive academic results. The program exclusively recognizes public and charter schools and is specifically designed to acknowledge schools that enroll students without regard to their academic strengths.

In the 2024 awards cycle, standout schools in Los Angeles County include Horace Mann Elementary School, from the Glendale Unified School District, Montebello Gardens Elementary School, from the Montebello Unified School District, and Gahr High School, from the ABC Unified School District.

This recognition underscores the commitment of districts and schools in L.A. County to delivering exceptional education, solidifying their position as leaders in educational excellence.
