We are proud to share that Peace Over Violence (POV) hosted their annual Evening Over Violence (EOV) ceremony, where our LA County Superintendent of Schools, Dr. Debra Duardo received the Education Humanitarian Award. This honor recognizes Dr. Duardo's exceptional work in providing educational opportunities for all students, particularly underserved and marginalized individuals. Dr. Duardo, deeply connected to Peace Over Violence for years, shared her commitment to ensuring every student in the county has a fair chance at success. This year's EOV ceremony was also special as it marked Patti Giggans' 40th anniversary as the Executive Director/CEO of the organization. Congratulations to Dr. Duardo and Patti Giggans for their remarkable contributions to education and the cause of peace.
