Eligible applicants include non-profits, educational institutions, and public-sector programs. Organizations do not need to be based in Inglewood to apply.

The Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation (GLAEF) has launched a new grant initiative offering up to $50,000 to organizations serving youth in Inglewood, California. Funded through the recently established Inglewood Youth Education Fund, these grants aim to create sustainable impact for Inglewood residents under age 24.

"This initiative represents our commitment to creating lasting educational opportunities for Inglewood's youth," said Kerry Franco, President and Chief Deputy of Strategic Partnerships and Innovation at the Greater Los Angeles Education Foundation. "By focusing on these critical areas, we're addressing both immediate needs and long-term aspirations of young people in the community."

The grants target five priority areas:

1. After-School Tutoring: for Inglewood student tutoring and enrichment.

2. Youth Innovation and STEM Design Camps: for developing and operating coding, science, technology, and engineering camps.

3. Keeping Students in School: Initiatives keeping high school students engaged and on track to graduate

4. Opening Pathways to College: for expanding counseling and supporting students seeking a post-secondary education.

5. College Scholarships: for Inglewood students with high financial need who are accepted to either a two-year or four-year college.

Eligible applicants include non-profits, educational institutions, and public-sector programs. While funded projects must serve Inglewood youth, organizations need not be Inglewood-based or exclusively serve this population. Successful applications will demonstrate community engagement, student input, and proven effectiveness.
