CTE Funding



The California Department of Education (CDE) provides opportunities for supplemental CTE funding to local educational agencies (LEAs) to encourage and maintain the delivery of Career Technical Education programs. Currently those opportunities include CTE Incentive Grant (CTEIG), K-12 Strong Workforce Program, Perkins, Middle School Grants, and Specialized Secondary Program Grants.



CA Community College Chancellor's Office K-12 Strong Workforce Program

The California Community College Chancellor's Office (CCCCO) established the kindergarten through 12th grade component of the Strong Workforce Program appropriating $150 million dollars in annual ongoing career education funding to strengthen the pathways for students from secondary to post-secondary education. K12 SWP intends to create, support, and /or expand high quality carer education at the K12 level that are aligned with the workforce development efforts occurring through the community college Strong Workforce Program and regional priorities.
