Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District’s Community & Public Relations Officer, Gail Pinsker, received a special recognition from CalSPRA and was named Communicator of the Year. Pinsker was also recently recognized as 2022 LACOE’s Communications Cabinet Member of the Year. 

CalSPRA is a statewide organization that promotes better public understanding, commitment to, and support for public education. The 2023 Excellence in Communications Awards Program was held in San Diego and recognizes educational organizations for superior achievement in meeting strategic goals through high-quality communications and public relations initiatives.
