LACOE is committed to ensuring that our digital content is accessible to all individuals, including people with disabilities. We recognize that accessibility is not a one-time effort, but a process that requires regular review and improvement.
LACOE is actively working toward conformance with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.

We are engaged in continuous efforts to improve the accessibility of our digital content. These efforts include:
- Conducting accessibility reviews of LACOE digital content
- Identifying and prioritizing accessiblity improvements
- Providing training to staff responsible for digital content
- Evaluating third-party tools and platforms
Accessibility is an ongoing process. Our accessiblility team is committed to continually improving to create a better digital experience for all.

We will make reasonable efforts to respond to all accessibility concerns in a timely manner and provide alternative access when needed.
LOS ANGELES COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICTS
The Los Angeles County Office of Education has developed a comprehensive Digital Accessibility Guidance Document to support school districts in Los Angeles County in improving the accessibility of their websites, digital content and online services.
This guidance is aligned with the requirements of ADA Title II and provides practical, plain-language direction for implementing accessible digital practices.
A.C.C.E.S.S Framework
LACOE advises all school districts in Los Angeles county to take the following actions:
- Assess - Begin structured accessibility remediation
- Communicate - Create and maintain a public digital accessibility webpage
- Collect - Establish a process for reporting and responding to accessibility barriers
- Educate - Provide training to staff responsible for publishing digital content
- Solve - Implement operational guidance contained in this manual
- Sustain - Ensure new digital content is created with accessibility in mind from the beginning
