This two-day event is focused on welcoming students of all abilities in a safe space where they can feel empowered by the Arts!

In partnership with The Music Center and Los Angeles Unified School District, we are excited to have celebrated the 45th Annual Very Special Arts Festival, a heartwarming event that embraces the talents of students with all abilities. With this year’s theme, "Empowered by Arts," the festival showcased a range of student and professional performances, engaging workshops and an inspiring student art exhibit. This inclusive festival welcomed students from all grade levels

Districts such as Montebello Unified, Lynwood Unified, Culver City Unified, Long Beach Unified and more participated, offering a day filled with food, dancing, music, face painting, performances and arts and crafts. Students took the main stage and even had the crowd on their feet dancing to classic songs, cultural music and pop hits. Resident artists from the Music Center worked with the performing classrooms for 5 times prior to the event from Culver City Middle School and High School, Willard Elementary in Pasadena Unified, and Roosevelt Elementary School and Firebaugh High School in Lynwood Unified School District.

The festival even featured on the spot drumming lessons. This annual event holds a special place in the community, celebrating diversity and the creative spirit of all students involved.
