The Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE) is excited to announce the upcoming Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Conference: Leading the Way in Education. This transformative event celebrates the achievements of women, promotes gender equality and aims to empower our community.

The event takes place on March 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Almansor Court in Alhambra. 

With keynote speeches, panel discussions, workshops and interactive sessions facilitated by respected professionals and thought leaders, the conference promises to provide attendees with invaluable insights and strategies.

Keynote Speaker: Dr. Angela Cooke-Jackson, PhD, MPH

Dr. Angela Cooke-Jackson, a professor at California State University, Los Angeles, and an Independent Health and Behavioral Science Consultant, will deliver the keynote address at the Women’s Leadership and Empowerment Conference. With a passion for mentorship, advocacy and community engagement, Dr. Cooke-Jackson brings expertise in Health Communication and Behavioral Science to her work. She has been a change agent and educator for many years, utilizing community-based participatory research and health media literacy to assist communities in curating and designing innovative, practical applications for sustainable change.
