LACOE GAIN celebrates 112 High School Equivalency graduates who overcame obstacles to achieve their educational dreams and launch new career paths.
On Thursday, June 26, the Los Angeles County Office of Education Greater Avenues for Independence (LACOE GAIN) program celebrated 112 graduates who completed their High School Equivalency (HSE) studies.
The ceremony honored graduates who successfully balanced personal responsibilities with their educational goals while embarking on new chapters in their lives.
Juan Macias, one of this year's graduates, expressed his gratitude for the program, sharing that he didn't think obtaining his high school diploma was possible because he didn't know where to look for help. Being part of GAIN and receiving his diploma has brought him closer to achieving his employment goals.
Dr. Debra Duardo, Los Angeles County Superintendent of Schools, delivered congratulations via video message during the ceremony. The superintendent commended the graduates for their dedication and perseverance in completing their educational goals.
Martin Evans, CDP Manager of LACOE GAIN Division, addressed the graduates during the ceremony, congratulating them on their achievements and encouraging them as they move forward with their educational and career goals.
As the ceremony concluded, the graduates stood ready to embrace their futures, their accomplishments serving as powerful examples of perseverance and the transformative impact of education.
