Thank You, Jurors!

There were almost 7,000 submissions for the L.A. Region's Scholastic Art and Writing Awards competition. We couldn't have rated and awarded students without the help of our amazing jurors who volunteers +10 hours to review and evaluate the students' work.

About the Organizations

The Scholastic Art & Writing Awards are presented by the Alliance for Young Artists & Writers. The Alliance is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization whose mission is to identify students with exceptional artistic and literary talent and present their remarkable work to the world through the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. The Awards give students opportunities for recognition, exhibition, publication, and scholarships. In 2024, more than 110,000 teens across the United States and Canada entered more than 340,000 original works in 28 different categories of art and writing.

LACOE, based in Downey, is the nation’s largest regional education agency, providing a range of services and programs to support the education and wellbeing of nearly two million preschool and school-age children through an equity lens. LACOE serves the nation’s largest regional education area and intends to create a path forward for the county’s 80 K-12 districts and more than 350 charter schools that serve 1.4 million students, employ nearly 155,000 staff and manage budgets that collectively total some $18 billion.

LAUSD is the second-largest public school district in the nation and serves 557,352 students in transitional kindergarten through 12th grade. The district is dedicated to providing students with access to a robust curriculum, including strong arts education opportunities.
