The Multilingual Academic Support (MAS) Unit is dedicated to advancing equitable and high-quality educational opportunities for multilingual learners across the region. Through professional learning, technical assistance, and strategic partnerships, the MAS Unit empowers educators and administrators to implement research-based practices that support language development, academic achievement, and cultural responsiveness for multilingual learners.
Rooted in the CA EL Roadmap’s four principles, the MAS Unit works to build educator capacity, foster leadership, and promote systemic coherence. Through regional partnerships and collaboration, the MAS Unit aims to strengthen the collective effort so that English learners thrive in inclusive, rigorous and affirming learning environments.
