Good news - “It’s About Time” is back! During this prolonged period of distance learning, LACOE’s Office of CTE created “It’s About Time” as a platform to introduce, inspire, influence, and incite formative change and support through candid conversations on issues and situations affecting our CTE students.

“It’s About Time” is a deep dive into education challenges and successes related to this era of COVID-19. The goal is to bridge gaps that directly affect opportunities for students enrolled in CTE programs throughout Los Angeles County. Conversations will center on how to better acknowledge and address those challenges utilizing tools and strategies from a pool of LACOE Student Services and leading CTE industry and community partners.

Each one-hour Zoom webinar is facilitated by LACOE CTE Coordinator II, Dr. Gina M. Newton.

Please join us! Register one-time for all five segments at: http://lacoe.k12oms.org/2357-195010

A Zoom link to enter the webinars will be emailed.

The California Department of Education's Career and College Transition Division (CCTD) has produced this guidance document focusing exclusively on CTE. It is intended to be an additional, but critical resource for local boards of education and administrators as they consider offering and teaching CTE programs. The guidance is particularly important for CTE teachers to make sure that the curriculum offered and taught remains high-quality even as they take into consideration all the necessary measures for a safe classroom environment.
