Fri Dec 19 14:11:00 PST 2025

The toolkit is a guide for schools or districts looking to develop or enhance school-based health programs, such as wellness centers and partnerships with local healthcare providers.

The Greater Los Angeles Regional Transformational Assistance Center (R-TAC), led by LACOE’s Community Schools Initiative, is excited to announce the release of its Wellness Center Toolkit. This new resource is designed to help schools bring health and wellness services directly to students and families.

Developed in partnership with The Los Angeles Trust for Children’s Health (The L.A. Trust), one of the key partners of the Greater Los Angeles R-TAC, the toolkit leverages The L.A. Trust’s extensive experience in connecting schools with health partners throughout Los Angeles.

The toolkit aims to empower schools and districts to establish or expand school-based health services, which align with the goals of the California Community Schools Partnership Program (CCSPP). By offering reliable, affordable and high-quality care, school-based health services enable community schools to provide accessible and coordinated support, ensuring that students receive the holistic support they need to succeed academically.

This collaborative effort underscores the shared commitment of LACOE’s Community Schools Initiative and The L.A. Trust to strengthen integrated support systems for every student, family and community across Los Angeles County.
