The Educational Passport System (EPS) is a data sharing system between all school districts within Los Angeles County specifically to share foster youth information. The ability to share information for the foster youth population is particularly critical. One of the Los Angeles County Office of Education's identified state priorities is to coordinate educational services, including working with county child welfare services to share information, respond to the needs of the juvenile court system and ensure transfer of education records.
Managed by the Los Angeles County Office of Education (LACOE), EPS was developed in collaboration with the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS).
