Upholding a steadfast dedication to data privacy and ethical AI practices, LACOE offers invaluable guidance to school districts in L.A. County, empowering them to responsibly utilize AI. Our goal is to enable schools to leverage the power of AI while ensuring data privacy protection and ethical considerations.

AI Blueprint

LACOE is proud to release our AI Blueprint - a new, practical roadmap for leading change, building collaboration and ensuring a human focus in AI implementation. The Blueprint provides a replicable, people-centered approach for local education agencies to move from early exploration to scaled adoption, focusing on responsible use, ethical practices and measurable impact. This strategic framework guides school districts in integrating artificial intelligence responsibly to support students and staff.

LACOE's "Generative Artificial Intelligence in TK-12 Education Guidelines”, released in 2024, helps school districts harness the power of AI for personalized learning, student engagement and educator support, all while prioritizing responsible technology use.
