The LACOE Digital Equity Initiative is a countywide effort to ensure every family has the knowledge, skills, and support needed to fully participate in today's digital world. Guided by the LACOE Digital Equity Roadmap, we partner with Community Schools, school districts, and local organizations to build sustainable digital literacy programs led by trusted educators and family engagement staff across Los Angeles County
Our Impact
2000+ families served. 40-60 Community Schools. 100-150 local facilitators certified. Designed to continue beyond LACOE's involvement.
Our Approach
We train trusted local staff–parent liaisons, family ambassadors, school mentors and coordinators–to lead digital literacy programs for families in their own communities.
Our Focus
Culturally responsive programs, multiple languages, family-friendly scheduling and coordination with county and state digital equity efforts.
Our Goal
Equip families with digital skills and connectivity knowledge so students can learn, thrive and succeed–now and in the future.
